Belhurst Castle took four years to build, from 1885 -1889. It was built for a wealthy woman from New York City. It once had an elegant boathouse and a 20 passenger tour boat, along with a large collection of exotic poultry.
The property has had an extensive and varied history from the rumored to-be-haunted Hermitage to a Speakeasy during Prohibition to the world class resort it is today.
